SPIRITUAL MATURITY

Spiritual maturity does not take place through baptism in the Holy Spirit, manifestation of power or cramming the Bible as many people think. All these are not a product of a walk with God. However, spiritual maturity is a product of your obedience to the Holy Ghost. You can't obey God more than you have walked with Him. A mature person must be born of the spirit, baptized in the spirit, and controlled of the spirit.

Whether you are born again or not, you are a spirit, either rebellious spirit or Holy Spirit. When you get born again, you receive the nature of God. It’s the nature of God in you that is nurtured unto maturity. Your spirit can be trained and should be trained. When you are baptized in the Holy Ghost, you receive the third person of the trinity and you must train yourself to be led by Him.

The Bible is to interpret your experience; your experience should not interpret the Bible. Compare Joel 2:28 with Acts 2:17. You begin to enter into error when you're using your experiences to interpret the Bible. Let the Bible guide your activities and operations. God has already poured out His spirit in these last days upon men and the way He does that now is by pouring upon people through a man that carries the spirit. The Bible says, He gave gifts unto men; these are ministry gifts (men).

The level of sincerity is not a genuine place to stay in spiritual things; you must be accurate and have understanding. You need sensitivity to be accurate. You can't be more accurate than your level of sensitivity. As a Christian, you must make it a duty to regularly work on increasing your level of sensitivity.

There is a difference between discernment and suspicion. Suspicion is a function of your head, a product of human psychology, while discernment comes from the spirit. Your sensitivity shows you what and where you should be cautious.

Prayer: Lord, I ask that the Holy Spirit will teach me the ways of God and cause me to walk my spiritual journey with ease in Jesus’ name. Amen.
