The early Nigerian leaders negotiated a federal constitution which guaranteed self rule for the three ethnically based regions in the new republic. The Independence constitution also offered equal and proportional representation in the central government as a way of ensuring stability in the new multi-ethnic nation. If a child lives with praise , he/she learns to appreciate . If a child lives with fairness , he/she learns justice . If a child lives with security , he/she learns to have faith . If a child lives with approval , he/she learns to have great esteem . If a child lives with acceptance and friendship , he/she learns to live in love in the world.
